Happy Birthday Corbin!

Yesterday we were blessed to be able to celebrate Corbin's 11th Birthday!
Each year I am reminded of how God miraculously healed my little man.
I am also reminded of the grace upon his life and excited to see how
God will use Corbin's life for His glory.

One of the things that Corbin greatly enjoys is Piper.
He takes such good care of his dog...even cleaning up her poop!
I am sure you are wondering what in the world is on Corbin's cake?
The boys always have something on their cake that they are into at the time. Well this year Corbin is really interested in cooking. He was a little surprised that he got oven mitts on his cake, but has been mentioning that he would like some whenever we are in the kitchen sections at the store.

Some friends and family joined us for cake, presents, another few games of "knock out", and of course the spanking machine!

Corbin was ecstatic to open up this recipe book from Uncle Scott. He has named himself "Chef Louis" and is very desirous of being a Chef someday. He asked if he could make one meal a week for our family. It has been fun to watch the joy he gets in finding and using the gifts that God has given him. This morning Tim was making his famous Egg Sandwiches and Corbin came in and took over the kitchen!

Jett got him some of their favorite books.

Piper enjoying a comfy place while Corbin was opening his gifts. She is getting bigger, but still a puppy and not potty trained yet!

At the beginning of the month we had Eliane (student from Brazil) move in for the month of January. She has been a joy to have in our home and wish she was staying longer.

It was a cold night so we started a fire in the fireplace. One great thing about a cold night is a warm, cozy fire!

After all the cake and spanking machine we were able to do another one of Corbin's favorite things...bowling! He even beat many of us in the last game!

Corbin, I am forever grateful for the 11 years that we have been able to share with you. You bring laughter into our home like no one else can. I appreciate and am thankful for how you care for and love your little brothers. I admire how you get so excited and always eager to serve in the coffee shop and wherever you are needed in our church. What encourages me most about your life is what God is doing in your heart, Corbin. God is working and changing your life as you are growing in humility, your desire to obey God, and seeing your need for a Savior every day. May God continue to pour out much grace upon your life in this next year, my son.

I love you, Chef Louis!

The boy has great taste. I'm a big Louis L-Amour fan too.
